Tonight, Jessica Newton, Angie Chappois and I went to "Movie Under the Stars" at the Utah State Capitol. They were playing "Wreck-It Ralph."
Before the film, they showed bits and pieces from movies that have been filmed in Utah - mostly on the Salt Flats and Southern Utah. These included "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", "Independence Day", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" among others.

Happy Pioneer Day!!!

Today, I went to the Tracy Aviary with some friends. All the bird there are so injured that they cannot be released to the wild.

Totally fake eggs. The real eggs are in an incubator and will be brought back when they are ready to hatch. Baby flamingos hatch inside the egg and then break out.

Tonight, I went to the Days of '47 Rodeo with Kaylene. First time going and it was great! Talk about a different "culture" if you will. These cowboys can make up to 2 million dollars doing this. Crazy!

Tonight, I may have watched a cheesy Disney Channel Original Movie, "Teen Beach Movie".  It was super cheesy and not even good music to compensate.

Tonight, I went and played softball with the ward again.  It has been a while.  Hey, at least every time I was up to bat, I was able to hit the ball...with a little help from the umpire.  Thanks Reed!  He may have called a foul, when I didn't hit a single ball.  Gave me one more chance and I got the ball.

My M&M jar is officially empty after 4 months.  Sadness.

Tonight, I went over to Kaylene's to enjoy "Disney's Robin Hood".  I have not seen this movie forever.  I love it.  So many good songs and classic lines:

Tonight, we had a "Journey Around the World" activity for the missionary work in our ward.  I signed up and presented Denmark because of Mom and Dad.  While I was gathering pictures, it made me excited to go back again next year to visit my parents at the temple.
The best thing I took was my "Way to Be" book that is in Danish from the Time for Youth I went to while I was there.  That was one of the best experiences I had and I keep forgetting everything that the week meant.  I had to talk to people and break out of my "shell", since I needed someone to translate for me since everything was in Danish and/or Swedish.  It was blessing for Mom and Dad to come and visit and the girl from Greenland was able to talk to my Dad about the branch there.  (Dad had bad contact information given to him for the Branch President in Greenland.)

There were booths from Denmark, Canada, France, Philippines, Costa Rica, Brazil, Japan, England, US, Belgium, and Italy.

 I also had a book of the paintings of Carl Bloch, who did works of Christ's life that are in Fredricksburg Castle.

And, of course, a book of Hans Christian Andersen's tales.

Today, I went to Raging Waters/ Seven Peaks with Jessica Newton.  It was great.  I haven't been there since I worked there in 2010.  It has changed a lot since then.  It is a lot more colorful now.

 Jessica kept on getting wrist bands - Thanks JetBlue for the free tickets/ drinks, cast waiver since she is slightly bruised, and we had our tubes "sat" while we tried other slides that didn't need them.  Those blasted pink slides hurt.

After going to Despicable Me 2 (and seeing Chad and Gregg there and them knowing where I was sitting because of my laugh...), going to Kaylene's to play Apples to Apples: Disney Edition, and then to iHop for dinner, I went to Julie and Randy's to listen for the kids.  My parents had been watching them and needed to go home.  Maggie fell asleep behind her chair, because "I want my mom to put me to bed."

Tonight, we had a swimming party at Flamingo Pool.  It may have started raining, but we waited it out and had a good time.
Our family that lives here, all of Uncle Dick's family and Emily and Uncle John and Aunt Jamie were all here.  It was great to see so much of Dad's family.

Thibaut and Elizabeth and their two cute kids are moving from Bangladesh to Senegal and Annabelle and Gen and their two kids were visiting from New Zealand.  They were all visiting this month.
