So, I bought some oranges at Costco.  They look and smell like an orange on the outside, and the inside is red-orange, not just orange.  They are really good!

Janey and Wendy came to visit to work on Janey's 1st birthday party.  Janey may have been playing with my phone...

It may be a little shaky, but that is because she is recording...  The thumping sound you hear is her hitting the screen.  The camera was facing her, so she was looking at herself and talking to herself.

It was really tasty.

January 8, 2014

So, it snowed during the night and I was shoveling off the driveway to get to work and it was dry underneath....

Today, during lunch, I went to Molly's adorable birthday party. Elizabeth had Uncrustables (which reminded me of Disney World), ham and cheese sliders, carrots and dip, cookies and applesauce.

The amazingly designed cake

The goody table

has started standing on her own and she has amazing balance.

Tonight I took down my Christmas tree. It was really dry and the branches just broke off as we were taking off the lights and the ornaments.

The beautiful mess of a real tree. :)

January 3, 2014

Tonight I went to the Utah Symphony. The concert was entitled "Disney's Pixar." It was great. They played medleys from each of the Pixar movies. I loved it!!
And yes, that is Buzz Lightyear looking like a conductor.

I thought it was interesting, because on the screen they played scenes from each of the movies and focused a little longer on some scenes- those that people remember.
"Toy Story" - Buzz flying with Woody and the claw machine
"Finding Nemo" - Swim down to get out the net scene.
"Ratatouille" - the rats in the kitchen, making the Ratatouille
"A Bug's Life" - The Circus show
"Wall-E" - The dancing scene between Wall-E and Eva.
"Toy Story 2" - the scene when Woody gets cleaned up.
"Cars" - the final race and Lightening McQueen helping The King across the finish line and the drive with Sally
"Up" - the sequence of Carl and Ellie's life together and the balloons flying.
"The Incredibles" - Mr. Incredible training and the ending fight
"Monsters, Inc." - the scare floor opening, the door scene and trying to find Boo's door and "Kitty".
"Cars 2" - the opening car chase scene and the World Grand Prix
"Brave" - Mom as the bear and the fight with the mean bear.
"Toy Story 3" - Lotso's story, Spanish Buzz and the green aliens using the claw. :)
The encore was a performance of "You've Got a Friend in Me" with more scenes and the 4 different composers.
It was a great symphony.
I think I may have seen a lot of Pixar movies - even with the speaker in my way, I knew exactly what was happening in the middle of the screen.

So, I think my iPod has seen better days. When it shuts down because the battery died, it resets itself to January 1, 1970. That is very impressive since the iPod wasn't created at that time.

Happy New Year!!

Today was a good day.
Started of at the Dillard's New Years Day sale. Totally crazy and nuts as always, I found some really cute shoes for Spring/Summer so that was good.

Today, the family went sledding. It may have been sheer ice, but they had fun. I went down once and was good to go.

After sledding, everyone met at Julie and Randy's for Cafe Rio and to finish off the last of the holiday time. It has been a great holiday season!

A little blurry, but a good chunk of the family.

Happy New Year's Eve!!
Today, I went to work and saw the midnight celebration in Dubai at 1:00 pm our time. They set off 470,000 fireworks, to beat a world record held by Kuwait from last year. Totally crazy!

Tonight, I was invited over to Julie and Randy's for the New Years Eve celebrations.
Chris and Angela's Christmas gift came. I am going to see "Wicked" in July when it comes to the Capital Theater. Hooray!!! I am so excited!!

We played games tonight while waiting for midnight to come. "Forbidden Desert", "Rage", and "Matthew, Mark, Luke and John." It was a great night and many laughs. The Knight kids loved Rage- which we used to literally play every Sunday.

Julie had Silly String to ring in the New Year with. Everyone had at least one can and went at it.

I was sprayed by Maggie a few times.

Happy New Year with Sparkling Apple Cider.

2013 was a good year. I loved going to Gettysburg and Disneyland. My parents left to serve The Lord in Denmark and I took over watching the house (still a little scary.) Thea, Topher and Zoey were all baptized this year and James received the priesthood.
