Happy Veteran's Day. I am grateful for those that have served this country and help us keep our freedoms. I am grateful for those that have come before me and have paved the way.

Today, I came home sick from work. I had a fever and a sore throat. Good times.

I thought this was entertaining, but might have been because I was sick.

The synopsis says that the Veterans Day Ceremony is Live, with the year being 2007. Are we still in 2007? Interesting. I wish I knew. That means I haven't graduated from BYU, haven't been to Jerusalem, and was just accepted, and haven't done my second and third internships with Disney.

Tonight, we celebrated November birthdays at Mike and Amy's house with haystacks.

Sarah created this table for Veteran's Day.

What everything means on the table.

Randy, Mike and I are the three November birthdays in Utah. Angela is also a November birthday.

I had an awesome 7-Up Cake made by Wendy, Randy had Snickerdoodles and Mike had his candle in ice cream.

Cute Molly being a Beauty Queen. She totally had the wave down.

Today, I had fun with the leaves...again.... When I got to the back, I couldn't mow the lawn because of all the leaves/ apples/ plums that had fallen. It helps to see the grapes on the vine when all the leaves around them are dead. The vines are all dried, so when you touch them, the grapes just slide off. I filled up one ice cream bucket, and there are still plenty of grapes to come off.

Tonight I went to see the Jerusalem movie again down at Thanksgiving Pointe with Jerusalem friends Jade Swartzberg, Mandi Mendenhall, Lisa Vehwig and Lisa's husband Max.

Afterwards, I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for Reed's birthday. There were 15 of us in total. I had Sweet BBQ and Salt and Vinegar wings. They were really good.

After dinner, we went and saw "Thor: The Dark World".

Tonight I went and saw "Thor: The Dark World" with friends. We tried going to two different theaters and three different showings. It didn't help that it just came out today.

Tonight, I went to the REAL Salt Lake game against the LA Galaxy. This game was Leg 2 in MLS cup Western Conference. They had already played in LA and LA was up 1-0 on aggregate, which meant that REAL had to score at least 2 goals to win. They scored the first goal in the first half and then didn't score during regulation. Since there had to be a winner, they played two 15 minute periods to see if someone could score. REAL scored 10 minutes in and then we played 1 man down as Saborio was injured and we had used our subs. So the aggregate was 2-1, and the game itself was 2-1. REAL now goes on to play Portland for the Western finals. It was an amazing game!

During halftime, they had Getty Ready people come and recite the Gettysburg Address, which happened 150 years ago. It made me miss our time in Gettysburg this last July.

It was so windy, that the streamers thrown during goals would not settle.

This morning we had our first taste of snow... Not ready for the cold yet.

We have a mover. Slowly, but surely.

Tonight, I went an saw "Ender's Game". I liked it. I never read the book, but I liked the movie.

Happy Birthday Randy!

Tonight for Randy's birthday, we had Apple Pie. It was very tasty.

Today was Stake Conference, which we have down at the Assembly Hall down on Temple Square. All the talks were amazingly done.
There was one sister who is getting ready to go and serve a mission. She was inactive about 4 years ago and had a friend that kept asking her to come to different activities. She finally said yes and it ended being coming to Stake Conference. She said that she sat in the back corner and half-listened. The speaker spoke on the Temple and going to the temple, and if you don't feel worthy, then just going and touching the Temple to feel it's Spirit. She said that she went by the Logan Temple everyday for 2 weeks until she finally felt like she could touch it. She touched the temple and felt like she needed to really start working on her Family History. She started working on finding her family and they come from Italy. She fell back into the church through her search and started going back to church and finally to the Temple. She was having a hard time finding her great grandfather's wife's last name. All she had was Anna. She telling her story to her family and her relative said she needed to contact a distant relative in Chicago. She called and was given the last name of Anna. She had been fasting to be able to find this name. She looked back through her notes and realized she had written down Anna's full name on her first page of her notes, when she wasn't back in the church. She felt that she just needed to write the name down. She was supposed to leave for business trip that got cancelled and was given a ticket to anywhere in the US. She decided to go to Chicago to visit her extended family. She called and said that she was coming. Her relative said that they had been collecting information of all their family members and were unable to add it to Family Search since they did not have a login since they were not members. They also asked about what happens after this life and wonders if she knew. She is going to visit them on Tuesday and bringing two men in suits with her. She was called the Rome Italy Mission, where her family is from.
Another spoke of reaching out to others, even if you don't get a reply right away.

This morning I watched cute little Miss Molly. We watched "Gummi Bears" while she just sat on my lap and we snuggled. She is a sweetie. Nana called from Denmark and it was so cute.
