I love this note that is on my fridge. It is from before my parents current assignment in Denmark. They were leaving on a trip, while I was driving home from Disneyland. Mom left this note, but then she was awake when I arrived home. It tied into our lesson today in Relief Society. The lesson was all about being mothers and fathers. It was a great lesson. I loved looking toward the future and reflecting on what I have been taught.

The teacher texted to all of us and asked to send a picture of us with either our mom or dad. This is the one I could find. It is one of my favorite pictures from my last trip to Denmark and when we went to Bornholm.

Tonight, Aunt Carol, Uncle Jay, Lisa, Niki and Neil all came to birthday dinner tonight. Elizabeth made some amazing ribs and everyone added sides.

Happy Birthday Aunt Carol and Michael James!

The beautiful sunrise as I left for the Temple this morning around 6 am to cover a shift.

Happy 48th Wedding Anniversary Mom and Dad! I love you both and I am grateful you two were married. I love your love for the work and that you have passed it on to me. Thank you! I thought about that a lot today in the Temple.

Tonight, Kaylene and I both wanted to get out of our houses and we went and saw Pixels. It was a movie that didn't take itself too serious. :). It was about video games from the 80s coming to life.

They have an advertisement for The Peanuts Movie. I'm really excited, especially after I listened to Charles Schultz's biography.

Tonight, Chris was in town for work and we went out to dinner at Red Rock Brewery. It is yummy.

Julie and Randy were celebrating their 16th Anniversary.

Afterwards, Chris and I went to see Ant-Man. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was great to go with Chris and talk before the show.

Tonight, I met with my aunts and uncles on my Mom's side to go over different areas of Family History.

We looked at a site called Puzzilla, that shows where you have problems to look at. We also looked at Descendency, which shows what work needs to be done.

We also looked at Relative Finder, which shows how you are related to different people in history - both church and world.

Another borrowed picture for the day.

I was in the Temple from 6:30 am to about 5:30 pm. I love serving in the Temple. I was not worn out in the Temple and truly enjoyed being there that long and it wasn't till I left that I got tired.

I love being part of the work and seeing the workings of the Temple.

I have a lot of eggs and decided to hard boil some. Well, I picked up the pan a little too soon afterward to wash it. Ouch!

Tonight, I went to a musical fireside put on by a ward in my stake. It was about the life of Joseph Smith. A brother sang this hymn absolutely beautifully and I loved hearing it. It is one of my favorites.

July 23, 2015

Today was a Thursday, that acted like a Friday.

We said goodbye to John Edwards today. He is going on to a new job with a new company.
I will miss John. When I first joined Cottonwood, he was there and said that I couldn't leave until he left. He calls me Cindy, because he knows that my favorite princess is Cinderella. It will be sad not to see him around the office anymore.

This was the best picture I could get, since he doesn't love pictures. :)

July 21, 2015

Today, we were back at DST for more meetings.

Megan took us out to the distribution center for printed materials. This building was amazing! It was 40,000 square feet and had a conveyor belt that went everywhere to gather mail and then drop it off at the mailroom. They printed everything on huge rolls of paper and then cut it down and stuffed it on an envelope on the same machine.
It reminded me of a Picture Picture from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
Next to this building was another office building for DST. This one was built inside an old roundhouse for the trains. Since it was a historical building, the floor had to be built up a few feet. There are still the arms to move the train cars inside the building.
This was the view in the back.

Afterwards, we ran by the City library, which was down the street from the DST building we were having our meetings in.
This is the parking structure.

The library is the home of an old bank and there are still bits and pieces of the bank around.

Today, we started our meetings at DST. Their building was huge and is one of nine in Kansas City. We are working with them for one of our investments. It is the investment that I have been working with for the last 3-3 1/2 years.

The view from our meeting room.

Tonight, we went to the Royals game. They lost, but we had a good time.

Today I travelled home from St. George and then was home for an hour and a half before catching a flight to Kansas City, MO for work.

This was the drive home from St. George. Somewhere in the middle of Utah.

Our propeller jet from Denver to Kansas City. The plane was tiny!

The beautiful building in downtown Kansas City, MO.

The awesome hotel that we stayed in. It is called the Hotel Phillips. It reminded me of the Hollywood Hotel that houses the Tower of Terror. :)

Our dinner at Lidia's. It was amazing! I had homemade pasta.

After enjoying a relaxing day in Washington City, Kaylene and I went back to Tuacahn to see Beauty and the Beast. These was a serious chance it could have been rained out. There was a huge storm that rolled through.

It amazes me that the same people that were in the show last night, were in the show tonight.

July 17, 2015

Today, Kaylene and I drove down to St George to go to Tuacahn. The show playing tonight was When You Wish.

It was great! It went through different Disney shows to create the dreams of a little girl. The shows included Snow White (with the Seven Dwarfs), Jungle Book (with an awesome Baloo), Tangled, Aladdin, Newsies, Pocahontas and few others. It was so great!

Great way to spend Disneyland's 60th birthday!
