October 5, 2013

This morning, I went in to the parks on my own since no one else was awake yet.  It was great!  I took the Monorail in and bought a puzzle in the Star Trader.  It is 4 Thomas Kinkade puzzles of Cinderella, Snow White, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio.  I also bought a new decal for my car and put everything in package hold.  I then went over to California Adventure and got a fast pass for Radiator Racers and then enjoyed the shows on Main Street and just enjoyed time in the park.
The best breakfast to have in the park.  Cream Cheese Pretzel and Orange Juice.  :)

My drawing of Sully from "Monster's, Inc."  I do love Animation Academy.

The cute wallet I bought.

I love "Billy Hill and the Hillbillies"!  They are awesome.  They did "The Auctioneer" with an interpreter and "The Devil Wend Down to Georgia" in honor of Halloween.

At dusk everyday, they turn on the lights of Cars Land from the back to the front, just like they did in the movie, with the same music.  I loved it!!!

The flowers in Cars Land, made out of brake lights. So clever.

They showed the "Halloween Frights" firework show tonight since they couldn't last night because of the wind limits.
I love "Fantasmic!"  One of my absolute favorite shows at the parks.  All about Mickey's imagination.
"Some imagination, huh?"  :)
After Fantasmic!, and "Peter Pan's Flight", Reed, Jordan and I went back to The Haunted Mansion right before the park closed for the night.  We were meeting everyone on Main Street to finish up some last minute shopping and then to head back to the hotel.  We got to the Emporium and everyone went their separate ways to do their shopping.  We were going to meet by the pumpkin at the end of the Main Street.  I bought some magnets of the attraction posters and picked up my packages from package pick-up and then went and got a glass slipper for Ann.  I went into a shop to look at the Christmas ornaments, right as the shops were getting ready to close, since it was now 1:00 a.m.  I was going to buy one, a "Mary Poppins" shoe ornament, and I went up to buy it and they said it was $22.50 for one for $50 for three.  I put my other bag on the counter, and turned around to look at the other ornaments.  I got two others, one, a "Cinderella" shoe and the other an Evil Queen from "Snow White" shoe.  I had finished the transaction and turned to grab my other bag and it was gone.  There had only been one other guest in the store.  As I was explaining to the gentleman helping me, the other lady in the store ran out to try and find them and they had vanished.  The nice lady that was stocking everything for the night heard everything and asked me what was in my bags.  I said a puzzle, a car decal, and magnets, and all my receipts.  The only item she hadn't heard of was the car decal, but I explained where it had been.  She said she would be right back.  The gentleman that was helping me had called in his lead, a manager and Security.  They were talking and trying to figure everything out.  It was at that moment that I mentioned that I had forgotten about the wallet I had also bought at a shop by Emporium, and explained the shop in detail.  The stocking lady came back and had found everything that I had lost and handed it to me and had a manager sign off on lost merchandise.  I was able to get back everything that I had lost!  The manager took me to the other side of Main Street to help me get my wallet, since I couldn't quite explain it, but I knew right where it came from.  They handed me the wallet and told me to have a great night.  I went and thanked them at City Hall and made a compliment card.  I love nice people.  Thank you Disney!!!
Cinderella                                                        Evil Queen                                               Mary Poppins

Aren't they cute?  :)
The pumpkin on one end of Main Street, right by the train station.  By the time everything was finished, it was 2:00 a.m. and my friends were still waiting for me.  They had tried calling and I said I lost my bag and will give a call when I am done.  Probably should have given more information than that. I got a picture by the pumpkin.  The only people behind Jordan, who is taking the picture, were Security and Custodial.  Good times!  Oops!

Yep, no one else in the entrance plaza.  Second time in my life I have closed the park and been one of the last guests out, when not working.
I love these two statues.  California Adventure with a younger Walt Disney and looking forward to the future and Disneyland with a man that has realized his dreams.
