February 2, 2014

Tonight, I went over to Julie and Randy's house for first Sunday dinner.
We played Rage.  I didn't do so hot...  Going up, and then down I go.

Julie and Thea made dessert tonight.  It was peanut butter fudge with chocolate drizzle.  Somehow the peanut butter fudge change form and became soft and crumbly instead of fudge.  It was still really good and still had the taste and just a weirder texture of fudge.  It was crazy, but good.

Today, Elizabeth was amazing and invited the girls over to teach how to decorate cakes.

Mine was german chocolate.

The "crumb" coat
Adorable Janey and Molly.  The best was that Janey was pushing Molly in the seat.

I took my creation to Kaylene's house tonight and we enjoyed it while we watched "The Croods".

Our receptionist's last day was today.  Sad and she was sweet to bring a note to me - that she made herself.
So, they recently added Fuel Efficient parking spots at work.  Apparently, they spelled efficient wrong on all the spaces, and had to go back and fix it.

I officially have my notary stamp!  Hooray!!

So, you know how a smell or sound can remind you of a different time or place.  Well, I made pasta tonight with Bertoli sauce to go on top.  I got the sauce on and I was taken back to the Mousecateria down at the bottom of the Magic Kingdom, since this is what I ate every Sunday and a good chunk of other days.  That smell took me back.  Totally crazy and I loved it!!

So, there is this show on Syfy called "Opposite Worlds".  It is a totally crazy show that I happened to fall on after watching FaceOff, all about makeup artists.  It is totally nuts.  As you can see by the house in the picture below, half of the people live in the future and the other half lives in the past.  The future have everything they need - electronics, warm beds, showers, food they don't need to cook, water, temperature controlled house by a speaking voice.  The past has to start their own fire with flint, have to cook their dinner every night when they come back, their restroom is a hole in ground, and they sleep in a pile every night to keep warm.  It is totally nuts.  There are two challenges every week.  One is called a Worldy Challenge and it determines that what world the winning team lives in.  Then there is a live episode that is the Duel of Destiny challenge and that is how people are eliminated.  It is totally nuts.  The show also uses Twitter to to vote on the most popular player and the least popular player, as well as who decides who goes into the Duel of Destiny.  It is nuts.

I put this on Twitter about the show.  The host sounds exactly like the host from "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

The host replied back to me!  That is crazy!

I have realized that I enjoy the strange reality TV shows that usually get cancelled within a season or two.  Shows like "The Great Escape", "Escape Routes", "Face Off", "Breaking Pointe", "Halloween Wars"...  The list goes on.
